Bike Yard East

Bike Yard East is a modest new venture housed in a purpose-built hut in Hackney City Farm. Service is very personal and laid back, featuring none of the bikier-than-thou attitude of most cycle shops (if the phenomenon is new to you, imagine the snottiest record store you've been to and magnify...).

The best part: on the spot repairs. That's correct, no trudging your bike up only to leave it for three days to have a puncture patched. Do support them in their fledgling season.

Being an avid bike rider myself, but no clue on how to fix a bike, I was devastated to find I needed new tyres for my much-loved old fold a way bike.
I shopped around a bit first but found places to be quiet unfriendly (sometimes laughing at poor old 'Rusty') and pretty expensive to match.

So I was really chuffed to discover this great Bike repair place. Bike Yard East did me a puncture repair for £13, and oiled old Rusty up for free! Plus it's apart of Hackney City Farm, so you can gloat at goats while your waiting, Big Thumbs up!

This is a real find: A tiny shed where you can take your bike for maintenance and repairs, done by the professional and friendly, Celia. It's cheaper than most bike stores and more importantly you're getting quality one to one service. Having tired of paying far too much for bad service, this is a welcome relief and I'd ask anyone to give them a try at least once.
