Bioenergist

I have gotten massages as frequently as daily (when in Asia), and twice-a-week while in Los Angeles. I've had many, many, many massages, fancy ones, plain ones, Chinese foot massages, Sports, deep-tissue, Shiatsu, reflexology, hot stone, Thai, Swedish, Korean, and combos. I've had massages throughout California, in Nevada, Oregon, Texas, New York, Hawaii, Washington, among others.

This was, shockingly, the very, very WORST massage I've ever had. It was incredibly painful, did not address any of the issues he initially asked about, and I was so light-headed when I left, I thought I might pass out.

I had HUGE DARK bruises all over that lasted for more than a week. I wanted to take pictures of them, but then I read all these reviews and thought, maybe it's just me. Today I thought, these have to be from his friends and I would be doing a disservice not to write a review.

I got this massage through either a Living Social or Groupon, I cannot remember which.

There was little to no talking, he ignored my comments of areas being sensitive or painful (it was very much a "I know best" vibe).

Maybe there are those who would find this actually therapeutic or relaxing. I did not. This is just my opinion. It was truly horrific.

The bioenergist literally gave me the best massage I have ever had. I walked in sick as a dog with a head cold. He worked around my lungs and glands on my throat, my head, plus every other part. It felt great. It was the kind of massage I expect when I go pay for someone- not just a rubdown, but he clearly knows about the muscularskeletal system. Plus he also does energy work so he is in tune with clearing up your energy channels. He is very intuitive. When I left my cold cleared up immediately. I am not kidding. I went to sleep with a clear head and slept like a baby.
I highly recommend this massage to anyone who wants the real deal.

I received my FIRST bioenergy healing session with Joey.

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect. I really didn't know that bioenergy healing is what I needed or wanted, because I didn't know what "bioenergy" is all about. It turns out, I've heard of bioenergy before and I just didn't have a name for it. You know how people talk about thinking positive and shifting your mindset? Well, from my understanding, that's the gist of it! It's healing within, it really taps into recognizing how you feel. Therefore, improving your emotional state, which in turn, improves your mental state, and so on and so forth.


Let's just say, I walked away with:

~ a better understanding of why I do what I do. a habit I originally perceived as a weakness, but now I know how to make it become a strength

~ the ability to recognize a SPECIFIC negative thinking pattern that I fall prey to (often) and how to deal with it so that it doesn't consume me

~ a better attitude towards life

I can honestly say that today, unlike the many other times, when I try to recite things I'm thankful for, I truly FEEL thankful. I'm not just doing it because someone said try to be thankful for something everyday to help you feel better. I'm doing it, saying it, and FEELING it.

I forgot to mention that my bioenergy healing session with Joey was noninvasive to my emotional state. I never felt that I was being judged, talked down to, or that I had to spill my entire life's story for him to be able to recognize the negative holding pattern that consumed me. Once he pin-pointed my pattern with just a FEW details of what has been bringing sadness to me, he stopped me, and the real bioenergy healing began!

I went here as I was exploring bioenergetics, and found Joey to be probably the only Bioenergist near me to show up on google.
The experience was great and eye opening. I went in as a "stiffie" and a bit skeptical;D however after experiencing the muscle tension and release exercise with Reiki I was mind blown with the new energy I felt rush through my body.

Definitely worth trying, and Joey is great and open minded.

He gave me the best massage of my life. Don't come here expecting a relaxing rubdown. I frequently fall asleep during massages, but I was 100% alert for this one. He worked all my muscles and knots, and it hurt, but it hurt in the best way possible. The process is intense but I felt AMAZING afterwards. This guy really understands massage therapy.

Found The Bioenergist on a Lifebooker.com deal and very glad I went. I received a wonderful, deep massage and when a couple areas were tender he explained why, giving a simple, concise explanation - he has great knowledge. The bioenergist is a thoughtful, meticulous therapist and bodyworker that I would recommend highly. He is also quite skilled about energy and reiki. The location is not a spa atmosphere but in an easy to miss doctor's clinic, so know that in advance, its not a posh atmosphere, but you will leave blissed out. Easy street parking in front.

I got a massage from Joey recently and it was exactly what i needed. I felt he listened to me and worked hard on the areas of my back that were giving me trouble. He used a few different techniques that all were used together to provide a true healing massage. I can't even explain how much better i felt the next day and the day after! I have already recommended him to a few of my friends! :)

By far the best massage I had in Los Angeles. I felt relaxed and revived after being worked on. I have severe pain in my back and neck and he made sure to focus his attention on my problem areas. He listened and worked harder than any other therapist I've seen.

"UUuughhGGhHHH!!!" are usually the sounds that I make when I see Joey. Usually, that noise indicates horrible pain, but in this case it's the BEST kind of pain you could want! I've had a great deal of massages in my time by different people, and Joey is BY FAR the best therapist I have EVER had. He listens to your needs, and knows exactly where your problem areas are- solely by touch. He has perfected his own technique- which uses a medley of deep tissue, swedish, and other varieties of message therapy, so that you get the most of your session. He is informative, kind, gentle, and educated. The best part though is the price! I've paid more for a half-assed massage way too many times. I will travel from the East side for an appointment! Totally worth every penny. I've seen him three times so far, each time being in horrendous pain from stress and sitting at a desk too long. Every time I come out a new person- he literally cures me! I recommend him to everyone I know. He's the best! I'd give him 20 stars if I could.
