First National Associates

Terrible experience. The man was desperate trying to get 5 minutes past and then charge the next full 30 minutes. I felt very comfortable talking about what needed to be done version being thrown many random talking points

Avoid!! 110£ per hour + vat. took him an hour just to tell me that I had to replace the thermostat, 132£!!
And when I did it it was showing the same problem, so called to complain and had a conversation with very rude staff just saying that I would have had to pay for another engineer to come even if the result was that the first was wrong. This company clearly doesn't care to provide a good service and build a good reputation. My fault for not having done a proper search before calling them to find about all the bad reviews and complains on the web about this company. They use different names as well like plumbers 4 less. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!!!

Not recommended at all, They do overcharge for a very small job and you cannot avoid that as they charge by time and they try to make it as long as possible to charge you extra.
Made a mistake contacting them, You can find a much better rate dealing with other plumbers.

It is a fraud! Avoid at all cost! The plumber charged £650 for unblocking the flat's drain. We found out later that the average price for the work in London is £45 - 80. The plumber refused to give a fixed quote for the job after the initial investigation.

We've consulted with the government's Trading Standards office and has been told that we have the legal right to challenge the charge, as under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, all the charge should have been within the reasonable range of the market price.

When we called the company to make the complaint and found out that they don't even have the formal complaint procedure. They refused to give a time frame of dealing with the matter. We are looking to take further actions.

They are FAIR, FRIENDLY, AND HONEST. We called them out to repair our boiler and they were honest enough to tell us that our room thermostat was simply turned down, they are a credit to their industry.

Let's be balanced - Initial booking and time slot was fine.
However please BEWARE that the cost is per half hour slot and in my circumstance the plumber recorded the start time on the hour (but did not enter the property at that time) . Answered a phone call. Then rounded up the finish time, taking him into the 2nd half hour time slot. I was dubious of this from the start however the lady on the phone when I inquired said if they ran over by 5 mins they will not charge you.
So when I saw the invoice I queried it and the plumber said I should call customer service - which I did and the lady was quite obstinate and after raising her voice to me I asked for a way to take this further. She advised to write a letter to an individual using the Registered Address.
There are plenty of plumbers out there thus from my perspective I would avoid First National Associates or Repairs-UK as they go by.

Massively overcharged for parts, (they charge an hours work to collect parts as well). Charged for a part which was thought to be missing but later found. Spent large amounts of time doing nothing. Was told work would take 2 hours, it actually took 7, though 6 of those 7 hours he was off site.
