Pizzeria Europa

Some 10 years ago this was the best pizzeria in Munich for me and I used to be a regular. It was a tiny place with just 5-6 tables, always full and baking great pizzas in the wood-fired oven.

Then the place expanded, annexing the restaurant around the corner, changed oven, staff and attitude.

The quality of the pizza suffered, and everything else too. I come back once a year or so now and every time I'm convinced that there's much better places in Munich if you wanna spend a night out eating Italian.

The staff aren't the most friendly and on a weekend night they really try to fill up the place by squeezing customers together. I was also disappointed with my pizza tonight. I ordered a margherita with extra cherry tomatoes. There was basically no cheese on it and there was ONE, no kidding, ONE cherry tomato on it. I guess I even paid 1,29 extra for the extra topping. LOL

Still, it's not a catastrophe, and they do have a nice and quiet outdoor space.

We should have known better but the absolute worst place I have been in the USA and Europe combined. Not only is the food terrible but we say there for an hour while with our pizza waiting made and uncooked on the counter for an hour. We gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking
it was Oktoberfest and busy but they tried to charge us 40 euro for a take away cheese pizza that was honestly awful. We ended up going to mcdonalds down the street after taking one bite of the pizza. They suck and you should 1000 percent not bother with place no matter how drunk you are. It's not worth it.

Love the staff. They are all cool.
Love having drinks with friends on the patio.
Love the pizza.
Love the pasta.
Great pricing.

Can get warm inside but this place rocks.

Not the cheapest pizzeria in Munich, but probably among the best ones. Special deal: Tuesday is pizza tag when two pizzas from the menu (margarita and avvocato) are 50% off.

I totally agree with the other review...the service was terrible. We came in for lunch and there were only 4 other small groups. After being seated we had to ask for menus 5 min later, which we received another 5 min later. I had to call over another server because ours was apparently more interested in another patrons iPad game. After nearly an hour, my wife asked where our food was she was told by the server that we should go to McDonalds if we wanted it faster...serously, no apology or customer focus. Food finally arrived and was good, but no better than the other 5 Italian restaurants within 4 blocks, which we have eaten at as we live in neighborhood. Botton line is the customer service was so awful we will never return.
