Great vegetable salad for me and tomato soup for my companion. We went on a Wednesday night and it was quiet - nice change from the youth -oriented fast food fast casual places. Seemed fairly priced for Copenhagen. Good service, they didn't rush us. I liked it. Enjoyable experience.

We started using Washio about six months ago for big towels, sheets, blankets, and other items that don't fit in our stackable washer and dryer. The laundry arrives spotlessly clean, fresh-smelling, and expertly folded. The delivery "ninjas" are prompt, polite and personable. (And, free cookie.) If they are going to be late, they keep you posted via text. The few times I've had issues - once with a mis-priced comforter, once with an invoice, another time with scheduling - customer service has been prompt and exceeded expectations in dealing with the issue. There are other, similar services to Washio - I'm staying loyal because they do good work and provide stellar customer service.

My husband and I are fans of Michael Taus and were eager to try this place. Let's say he's good with bar food, and ambience. The decor is beautiful but still bar-appropriate - all grays and blacks and very comfortable, plus lots of TVs. The service was friendly and efficient but not cloying. The bar has a nice wine list and my husband enjoyed his old-fashioned. The veggie burger was the best I've had in this city, and Mr. Man's grilled cheese with roasted-tomato soup was terrific, and looked so cute - the soup was in an earthenware disw with a little handle. The best part: My veggie burger came out as a turkey burger. Server realized his mistake even before he set it down. The veggie burger was out in about five minutes, then the chef (sous chef? chef de cuisine?) came out personally to apologize, and offered us a gratis brownie sundae. We tried to say no - servings were big enough to leave us stuffed - but he insisted. It was good - made with Blommer chocolate - and the size was just big enough to split. Loved Black Oak Tavern. We will return.

Judging from other reviews, we must have caught The Harding on its best night ever. I loved the food, loved the service - our server seemed to know the food and beer menu well and wasn't shy about sharing her opinions. It was early-ish on a Thursday so no wait - the place was loud, but that's to be expected at a bar and grill. My friend ordered the chicken and roasted-pear salad. I kept stealing her pears, they were so delicious. I got the portobello mushroom sandwich - more texture and attitude than most "this is the vegetarian option" options at bar-n-grills. My husband got the wedge salad; he's a bit of a wedge salad aficionado and said this one topped them all. Oh, can't forget the basket of sea salt and herb fries we ordered as an appetizer. I ate most of them. They're memorable. So, not sure what to say to the negative Yelpers. I had a great experience, can't wait to go back, and would recommend this place to anyone in the vicinity.

We visited here March 29, 2015, to celebrate my aunt's birthday. We had a great time and a great lunch and I heartily recommend it. The vibe is very northern California - wood tables, grey-blue walls, cool art, tin ceiling - and the menu has a "farm to table" feeling without being in your face about it. I ordered a vegetable ribollita - a formed vegetable hash - without the egg and with a side of toast. Right away the server said that there would be no charge for the toast. To me, that's great service. The house-made toast was so good that I splurged on a house-made sticky bun for dessert. Totally worth it. My family enjoyed their meals, too: BLT, eggs Benedict and a grilled cheese. Hearty, not intimidating portions; nice plating, good clean bold flavors, great service and that Mendocino vibe. I'd give this a must-try if you're in the Mount Carroll neighborhood.
