I used to live their black licorice ice cream. So many good flavors with higher butterfat content.

Was craving some ice cream and was hoping for something tasty, to be honest though I could have made a better bowl at home. Maybe I went to basic, but strawberries (maybe bananas but I couldn't see or taste any) on top of a vanilla scoop sounded good. The vanilla had very little flavor and I was expecting something a little better. I won't be back any time soon to have another scoop.

Cute little shop with limited parking in back. The ice cream is just ok though, and it's over priced. There's other ice cream shops nearby with better ice cream in my opinion, like Churn. The single scoop in a cup my mom got was tiny.

If you want a treat in Central PHX and you are a closet ice cream white like me, come here. Old school ice cream, tons of flavors, low prices for the amount you get, and very tasty. Nice people working when we have been in, clean location, and just your traditional ice cream shop for a sundae, banana split, or scoop that will remind you of the ice cream parlors you went to if you were an 80s kid, but modern twist since they moved to this location. Highly recommended.

Sweet Treats

It has been a very long time since I revisited Mary Coyle's and a few things have changed. Lunch items are no longer offered on the menu, this place had the best BLT sandwich that was loaded with bacon. Even though the lunch items are gone Mary Coyle's is serving up some of the most delicious sweet treats, some of the best ice cream in town.

On this visit my lunch companion and I shared the Caramel Cashew "God Bless You" and the "Thick Ol' Fashion Chocolate Milkshake" and both were delicious. The "God Bless You" was the perfect mix of Vanilla & salted caramel cashew ice cream, caramel topping, topped with cashews, whip cream and a cherry on top. The ice cream was smooth, rich and full of flavor as was the chocolate shake.

If you're ever craving delicious homemade ice cream, great customer service, and wallet friendly prices, stop in you won't be disappointed.

Friendly service, wider variety of ice cream, and a relaxing place to enjoy.10/10 would recommend.

We were in the area and wanted a quick sweet. The place is easy to find and was very clean upon walking in. There is a board that lists all their flavors. I'm a visual person and didn't like the ice creams weren't visible to check out. First time I have saw an ice cream place that didn't have them all displayed. Anyway, ordering was quick and easy and prices are on par.

We kept it simple and got a scoop of strawberry with hot fudge which was topped with whip cream and a cherry. The ice cream tasted a little freezer burnt but the hot fudge masked it well. It was okay but didn't blow us away. If we came again we would would probably order a special sundae they have. There's other great small business ice cream shops closer to us so would come back if we were in the area.

Not the Mary Coyle, that I remember from past years. They did not have some of the items for their ice cream's, but still very very good.

Mary Coyle Ice Cream store as I recall was a Phoenix staple so I have enjoyed this nice, clean little shop on Central Ave. These are nice people. I met the owner and have sampled their ice cream, it is as ice cream should be: rich, creamy, flavorful! It's a fun little stop in Midtown Phoenix, I highly recommend it

Mary Coyle Ice Cream shop is a cute pink & white retro ice cream parlor located right on Central. We stopped in for dessert and were quite happy with the experience! There are lots of ice cream flavors, but not too many where it becomes impossible to pick! They offer tons of topping choices to jazz up your cone. If you're feeling fancy, you can even order a sundae complete with bananas and whipped cream!

I appreciate their focus on safety during Covid - masks are required, seating is limited and hand sanitizer is available!
