Maximus resort

A really nice resort with pleasant ambiance and amazing welness, sauna and relaxing area. The spa area is what makes this resort so unique. They have outside relaxing zone as well as inside. You can swim in an indoor pool or relax in outside jacuzzi. The restaurant serves good food, breakfast is ok but nothing special. Make sure to reserve your table for dinner well in advance since the capacity is not sufficient for the hotel guests.

Not welcoming to Foreigners

I went twice- the first time to scope it out before a massage and spa treatment. There are two sides- the Wellness side which include the pools. The staff on the Wellness side were (with limited English) welcoming and friendly. They showed me how to use the Wellness side, the wrist band for purchases, the lockers. Had a great time. The next day I came back for my massage and saunas. The Spa team were rude, aggressively belligerent, unwelcoming and unhelpful. That side has a different locker room, different services- none of which were explained or shown. The one staff member was so nasty and rude I asked to speak to the manager. She said no, I didn't need to and wouldn't call the manager. Horrible experience. The massage was so/so, and note that for a 55 min massage they will only do back body.
The place is lovely and clean, with a nice little snack bar in the lobby and in the pool area. You need to take your own creams, lotions- nothing provided. Note that they do have a free shuttle- the information is tucked deep in the Web site- I only learned because I had emailed them and they told me. It picks up from the tram- just go up the slight incline from the tram to the parking area and there is the bus stop (the spa gave no bus stop location so eventually I found police to help with the aid of Google Translate.) I can recommend the Wellness side, but would stay clear of the Spa side. I did write to the manager and never heard back.
